What I started doing was taking snippets of reviews of the book I was about to release or put on the shelf, pasting these into the word bubble, then printing and cutting it out. This "Word Bubble" was an idea I had for another attention-grabbing method for books you are going to release or that you have on your OBCZ shelves It’s basically a template for an A4 “Word Bubble”, like the ones comic book characters “speak” through. Re-uploaded “BC Labels-Banner 9670019 16 per sheet half and half.doc” template, as noticed old BCID numbers were still included in the current copy. Added new template Avery reference number 5311, with 33 labels per sheet (also suitable for reference number 5314). It's probably of more use to those people who have large numbers of BCIDs already saved somewhere / allocated. The label templates with Mail Merge work the same, except you have a data source containing all your BCID numbers, and the template "reads" this data, and "fills in" the sheets of labels accordingly for you. laid out as you set up in the original template document. Then Word does a "merge" using your data source, and your "template", and creates the 100 letters for you, all ready to print, and all personalized with things like "Mr Sid Smith, 1 The Street, Essex, Dear Sid", "Mrs P Chatterbox, 23 The Grange, Essex, Dear Pat" etc. Instead, you can create one document, complete with fields like "Name" "Address Line 1", "Address Line2" etc, and then use data from say, your Hotmail address book to "populate" those fields. You draft the newsletter, but don't want to have to manually type each person's name and address on it, and print it singularly 100 times. Best example is say you run a club with 100 members and do a monthly newsletter. In layman's terms, mail "merging" allows you to create one document, and then create a set of data, and combine the two. Not at all, although Wikipedia is your friend here I hope you don't mind if I ask you what 'mail merge' is? I know what a Word document is and how to use and create one. James, you have been doing some mighty useful stuff. I don't expect a huge flood of requests, but do bear in mind this is a "as time allows" offer, so please don't expect an "Instant" response.Īdded new templates today Avery reference numbers 40, for pin-fed continuous labels (also suitable for 4018, 4019, 4146, and 4163 reference numbers). Then I'll upload it to my page for you and anyone else to use. I can probably replicate any of the labels I've knocked up fairly quickly into a different sheet layout, so if you use Microsoft Word / a Word Viewer utility, and have different blank label sheets to those already on my site, either post a note here, or send me a PM with the brand / reference / blank template location / what design you fancy from the three I've done / whether you want it "Mail Merge" etc., and providing I can get the basic template for your labels (like you can from here for Avery brand ones ), I'd be happy to create a new template of BCID labels to fit your label sheet, using the same images / text as the others and all ready for printing. To that end, it occurred to me that I could offer a bit more too Good to see from the odd forum posting that some people are getting use out of the Microsoft Word label sheet templates I knocked up and uploaded to share at Īnd I was especially stoked at the BC Team even pointing someone to them too! -) You can even type the numbers into the sheet before you print it, so they'll look neat.
